GE EARLY PORTABLE TUBE RADIO MODEL 140 In a green metal case, the front of this radio is a plastic panel which holds the antenna. The panel opens to reveal the speaker compartment. There is a spring controlled lid on bottom that opens to show the battery compartment, which is clean. It has an AC-DC switch, but there is no AC line cord. Also, there are two small holes on the right side top which puzzle me. In overall good to very good condition, yet the chrome handle has light pits. Measures eight by four by three and a half inches. Has a very solid feel to it.

RCA ROLLTOP TUBE PORTABLE AC-DC MODEL 66BX Handsome set with heavy plastic sides and aluminum body. It is not working. Case looks very good and needs a very good cleaning. One scratch on lower speaker grille area. Missing snap for back cover on both sides and one tiny foot on back cover. It stands fine and has a nice solid handle and a nice dial. Clean inside. Will polish up beautifully.

SILVERTONE BAKELITE TUBE RADIO #5 It measures ten and a half inches wide and is from 1950. A nice looking set, which works fine with no hum thanks to replaced electrolytic capacitor. Still has a shine, which polishing will bring out even nicer. Line cord on switch was added because on-off switch doesn't work even though it "clicks" off. The knob for that control has a replaced brass colored insert to match the brass insert on the opposing tuning knob. Has original back, tube diagram, and dial light works. Someone cared enough about this set to preserve it. Case is excellent.

Jewett Radio Horn Speaker This speaker was made by Jewett Radio and Phonograph Company. About 36 inches tall, which is very large for one of these speakers. Composition horn stands on metal base. The base has no wires coming out of it, so the horn has not been tested. Horn has The Superspeaker decal on front. Has some small chips on outer edge and has craze type cracks on it. It is very solid, however, and has a classic shape. Rare.

1950's Motorola Bakelite Ashtray (AS IS) This is a nice old ashtray. It is marked "Motorola-Phila. Co. WA 2-700" The bottom is marked "Harry Davies Molding Co.Chicago, Ill. Daka-Ware". It is 7" across. The back of the ashtray has been repaired. It looks like it had three pieces broken out and it was glued and filled. Judging by the phone number on the front this is a 1950's piece.

GREAT HALLMARK CATHEDRAL WORKING MINIATURE RADIO As a radio collector, I flipped when I bought one of these for myself and then was lucky to find a few more at the Hallmark store. This working radio takes three AAA cells and you tune the dial and it lights up. There are five different stations it receives and there is static in between. You will hear music, commercials, and station identification. BUT what is so neat is that each time you return to these stations, you will hear different material being played. The set stands only three inches tall by two inches wide and about one a half inches deep. The speaker grille has a handsome image of Santa Clause over it. The plastic case finish is simulated cherry wood grain. You will LOVE having this neat set (which is one of the 2006 Hallmark Keepsake "Magic" Christmas ornaments that can be hung on a tree. It is titled "A Christmas Broadcast" and comes MINT in original box with packing. Most of the stores sold out on these at the regular price of $24.00. Don't miss getting one for your radio collection!!
